Birthday Expenses
Sometimes I wonder how people find the money. My sister in law really splashes out on a party whenever she has a good excuse, from birthdays and Christmas to wedding anniversaries and Christenings. The last one that she did was a joint birthday and Christening party for her little boy. They had all sorts of party supplies including an outside caterer, champagne and two cakes as well as a bouncy castle for the children and marquees for the grown - ups to sit in. It was quite a grand affair, rather ruined by the abundance of balloons in my opinion, but then I hate balloons! There was too much fuss for me with over the top birthday cake toppers and everyone singing happy birthday to a baby who could not even blow out his own birthday candles. I guess I am being a bit boring but I do worry that they spend so much money on silly things like this when they often struggle to pay their mortgage. I think that the cost f all of these little things add up and although they do help us to form good memories you can still have a celebration without going to a vast expense. My children loved their birthday party and it was cheap and cheerful with some of their good friends and they had lots of fun.
