Aircraft Wheel Operation

Thursday, March 5th, 2009

Aircrafts are hard to design and build. Modern tools are required for building these heavy vehicles. One single aircraft takes years to be produced and comes out of the airbase only after continuous building effort of big engineers and mechanics. Wheels play an important role in the operation of aircraft. Without these wheels aircrafts won’t be able to stand on the land. Wheels help the aircraft to slide on the highway and fly into the air. The wheels of aircrafts are supported by the shock absorbers. Without these perfect shock absorbers aircrafts won’t be able to balance their movement.

Engineers use special tools for repairing the wheels. Generally lifting the wheels of aircraft and repairing them is a difficult task. For such operations mechanics use plane jack. This jack acts takes support of the ground and lifts the wheels for repair. Plane jack has the ability to lift the aircraft wheel without causing any damage to it.

It eliminates the stress on the plane and makes repair easy. Aircraft battery chargers have the ability to increase strength of the powerful airplane batteries. These chargers are unlike ordinary vehicle chargers. They have high energy generating potential. Mechanics take utmost care in repairing the aircrafts and use only sophisticated tools for repair.

Scooter Performance Ways

Thursday, March 5th, 2009

Do you have a scooter and its not running well? Have you got your scooter checked through an automobile expert? Some of your scooter parts might not be working in alignment and need either overhauling or a complete replacement. Remember! Your scooter is a self – propelled machine in your control, and just like any other automobile it also needs piston, accelerator, break shoe, to keep it working smoothly and smartly. Scooter parts such as carburetor, oil seals, and wheel ball bearings also serve to add performance and life to your scooter engine. Today, with advancement in technology, different scooter component manufacturing companies are coming out with low cost options on scooter spares.

These also include, quality performance scooter batteries, providing real thrust and energy to move the machine higher speeds and with fast pick up too! Acid and gel batteries are two most popular genre of batteries used in scooter. Scooter battery lights the headlamp, and sparks the ignition to provide the engine with its first start. Remember, in order to keep your scooter in a perfect and healthy condition, it is necessary that your scooter battery remains always charged. It would be a sane idea if you get it checked from any standard automobile’s outlet.

How much does it usually COST to TRADE a used car for a different used car?

Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008

estimate cost?

It all depends on the condition of the trade-in. and the price of the other used car. But make sure you convince the dealer that you really don’t want to trade in your “REALLY RELIABLE” used car. Don’t let the dealer think that you don’t know what your doing. Make sure that you talk really good about your old trade-in, You should get a good deal on the other car if this is done right. And always clean your old used car up really good, Better than you’ve ever cleaned it before

…………….

>> usually COST to TRADE a used car for a different used car?

You have fundamental misunderstanding of how trade in works.

That all depends on the value of the current car and the value of the next car. Think about it.

If your current car is a Ferrari all paid off and you trade it in for a Civic, you will get some money back (hopefully - if you don’t get cheated).

But if your current car is a junker (no value) and looking to trade it in for ANY new car, it is like you are NOT trading ANYTHING in at all.
====

Just think about it. It will sink in (hopefully)

…………..

It’s an impossible question to answer unless one knows how much the new (used) car will cost, and how much your car is worth. Your cost will be the difference plus tax and license.

Is it possible to buy a car within about 3 weeks on $9.50 an hr/ with an average of 70 hrs every 2wks?

Tuesday, June 24th, 2008

If you want a project or a model, yes. If you want something that’s going to be a decent and reliable driver, then you’re gonna need closer to three months

………….

I don’t know exactly what you mean by “within 3 weeks”. You can buy a car over the weekend.

$9.50 per hour (at full time) comes out to about $18K to $19K per year. You should be able to get some sort of financing (assuming your other expenses are within reason).

………….

Using the math you supplied, you’d only make $997.5 in three weeks. If you have no other expenses, I think you can buy a decent used car somewhere

……………..

you might beable to put a down payment on a cheap car if you can find yourself a cosigner or if your credit is good.

but the real question is: how will you afford the gas and the insurance?

Car Insurance

Saturday, May 17th, 2008

Everyone knows that you can’t drive your car unless you have liability car insurance. Liability coverage protects you should you be at fault in an auto accident. It will pay for the victim’s injuries and property damage, as well as your legal bills. State to state requirements vary regarding the minimum levels of auto liability insurance. When purchasing liability coverage, you should try to cover or exceed the value of your assets such as your home or savings account. This is because if you are sued and you don’t have enough coverage to protect your assets, you could lose money, possessions and even your home.

You can find some valuable information online regarding how to save some money on your home insurance as well. Your deductible is the amount you have to pay towards a loss before your insurance company starts to pay the claim. By raising your deductible you can save more money on your premiums. Most insurance companies recommend a deductible of at least $500. If you can afford to raise your deductible to $1,000, you may save as much as 25 percent. You can also save some money by purchasing your home and auto policies from the same insurer. Some companies will take up to 15 percent off your premium if you buy two or more policies from them.

Aviation Maps

Friday, February 29th, 2008

Today there are lots of different Aviation GPS units on the market, but this leaves many pilots confused as to the right unit to buy. The good thing for pilots looking to use digital aviation maps is that most of the GPS systems are really easy to use. But, the flip side is that the more sky charts you add the more difficult the system is to use. You just want one that will make it easy to navigate the aviation maps without having to take a course. That’s because air navigation charts added to your system increases the learning curve and just takes longer to learn all the ins and outs.
Basically, what you want to look for with an aviation GPS is a system that is intuitive. That means that you can easily anticipate what steps you are supposed to take when you are entering routes or waypoints. You don’t want a system that is impossible to figure out or that will take you months of studying. You just want one that will make it easy to navigate the aviation maps without having to take a course. The most important aspects are a GPS that is intuitive and easy to use without having to look at the keys.

On going debate of penalty to drunken driving….?

Monday, October 15th, 2007

1. stronger non negotiable sentences

2. I personally think all of these things should be done but its likely to happen. Ordinary people like us get punished and have to suffer the consequences for our actions but Hollywood stars don’t get the same treatment. They just go to jail for a couple minutes, or hours or get community service and that’s it.

3. Do the crime, pay the time. They should have a lot stiffer sentences on DWI because it usually leads to Vehicular Manslaughter.

4. 1. There is a severe fine already in place. The costs for everything else involved in a DUI makes it a pretty expensive ordeal.
5. My brother has a traumatic brain injury at age 31 because of a drunk driver and will never work or have a normal life again. The guy had an extensive history of driving drunk and was on parole for the same thing when he injured my brother. I say lock em up and throw away the key.

6. None of these are solution for this. Put them behind the bar (jail) to push them out from the drinking Bar

7. The following are based on no injuries involved.

1st offense. $5,000.00 fine and mandatory rehab for 6 months.
2nd offense. Removal of license and 1 year in jail with mandatory rehab.
3rd offense. 10 years jail and mandatory rehab.

Involving injury or death…

1st offense. 5 years prison
2nd offense. LIFE in prison.

We need to crack down on these idiots that kill over 16 THOUSAND people a year.

Alcohol-related motor vehicle crashes kill someone every 31 minutes and non-fatally injure someone every two minutes (NHTSA 2006).

Occurrence and Consequences

* During 2005, 16,885 people in the U.S. died in alcohol-related motor vehicle crashes, representing 39% of all traffic-related deaths (NHTSA 2006).

* In 2005, nearly 1.4 million drivers were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or narcotics (Department of Justice 2005). That’s less than one percent of the 159 million self-reported episodes of alcohol–impaired driving among U.S. adults each year (Quinlan et al. 2005).

* Drugs other than alcohol (e.g., marijuana and cocaine) are involved in about 18% of motor vehicle driver deaths. These other drugs are generally used in combination with alcohol (Jones et al. 2003).

* More than half of the 414 child passengers ages 14 and younger who died in alcohol-related crashes during 2005 were riding with the drinking driver (NHTSA 2006).

* In 2005, 48 children age 14 years and younger who were killed as pedestrians or pedalcyclists were struck by impaired drivers (NHTSA 2006).

Cost

Each year, alcohol-related crashes in the United States cost about $51 billion (Blincoe et al. 2002)

8. My vote goes to number 2 and 3, my twin was killed by a drunken driver a month after our 8 birthday, I have had to live with out him for 44 years and the pain gets no less as the years go by. Why should drunk drivers not be humiliated It may stop them from doing it and save lives.

9. 1.Severe fine is going to happen any way big time.
2. Driver license is going to be suspended any way until you finish with the fines and classes.
3. It is in public records anyway for 7 to 10 years for the first time driven drunk.

10. . About 15 or 20 years ago in Carrollton, KY a drunk driver crossed the median on Interstate 71 and hit a church bus full of children and adults. Most of the people on that bus died in the ensuing fire. It was horrible.

First offense should get a suspended license for at least 3 months during which time they get counseling they have to pay for themselves. Second offense should lose their license, get counseling and do a whole lot of community service. Anything after that should be jail time.

A car is a lethal weapon. You should no more be behind the wheel if you ‘ve been drinking than playing with a loaded revolver.

11. Alot of variables to this question.
First offense- license suspended up to 6 mths. with a fine and mandatory DWI informative classes.
Second offense- Longer suspension, stiffer fine, a lot of community service.
Third offense- jail time

If any one was hurt or worse, then humility would be a very small price to pay. The maximum a judge could hand down would be appropriate.
I would make you go to the hospital and visit the injured every day.
If it was fatal, I would make you attend the funeral.

12. None of the suggested penalties would work.
Drunk drivers know the consequences of their action.Any injury to a third party should be
treated as attempt to murder and a death should invite the charge of a premeditated
homicide.Sentences should be,in case of injury, life term and in the event of death, the maximum penalty viz.lethal injection. In addition
the offender’s entire property should be handed over to the victim or his/her family.
Unless the punishments are severe enough the
drunks will continue to have a field day to wreak
all the mayhem they are capable o

13. How about letting the cops just beat them with a night stick for a couple minutes.

Then sending them on their way on foot.

Throw their keys in the woods.
