House Improvements
The route that I walk to work is really nice and it makes me glad that I do not have a car. I walk through a road with really lovely old houses and a lot of them are having work done on them at the moment. It seems like they are following the recent trend of extending living space rather than trying to find a new house. I think that this is a great idea because it is not only more affordable and adds value to your house, but it means you do not have all of the hassle of moving. Some of them are building extensions and others are converting their lofts but the ones that I like the best have new basement wells. I am assuming that it means they will be making the basement more usable by means of, space and considering the floor space of these houses, they will probably be able to make a huge den or two spare bedrooms out of the space. The only problem with looking at these houses is thinking about what a big different it would make to us if we extended somewhere or fitted an egress window well in our basement. I think it would be great but unnecessary as we have enough space and of course expensive.
