How do you protect your family and yourself from germs

  1. I use an all purpose disinfectant in the kitchen and bathroom.

I also wipe the phone’s mouth piece and door handles down if anyone is sick to avoid the germs spreading.

I am very careful about raw eggs and meat/poultry, so I keep other foods away from them and use different bowls, boards and utensils.

I also try not to be too crazy with the disinfectant so that our immunity is not comprimised. A little exposure is good!

  2. wash hands often, when one is sick use lysol spray on door knobs remotes phones etc.and alwys cover mouth when coughing etc.using hand sanitizers when unable to wash with soap and warm water like if out somewhere.
  3. Iwash hands often, when one is sick use lysol spray on door knobs remotes phones etc.and alwys cover mouth when coughing etc.using hand sanitizers when unable to wash with soap and warm water like if out somewhere.
  4. practice good hand hygiene, make sure family members are all up to date with all immunizations, and foremost, a healthy diet. however, a little exposure to some of these “germs” can be a little good -as a way for the body to build up defenses against them and also building a healthy immune system.
  5. Go to wal mart, buy a few suitcases, pack your belongings, and take off to an indisclosed island and live there until the end of times.

but i don’t think thats gonna protect you from germs either
there’s just too many; of them out there…
i guess regular hand washing, sanitizing, using clean towels to wipe hands, changing your dish washing sponge frequently, and also HOPING you don’t get sick

  6. keep everything clean and make you they eat health and regular exercise
  7. Long term, keep your immune system in tip top running condition
short term, wash you hands when handling pets, money ,shaking hands, going to the rest room. If you can’t wash keep a bottle of hand sanitizer handi.

There are a lot of nutritional products, drinks on the internet start your invegistion there is a lot to learn.
Look up viralox this is a virus killer.
I use and work with nutrition products, and I can tell you they

  8. WASH YOUR HAND! WASH YOUR HANDS! WASH YOUR HANDS!>>after everything you touch like pets, raw meat, doorknobs, MONEY etc. Use regular soap, not antibacterial,as it strips skin of good bacteria as well as germs.Train yourself not to touch mouth and nose with your bare fingers.
  9. simple hygiene practices..wash hands, clean the floors and toilet etc
i believe in the dirty side of the clean/dirty theory where by an immaculate sanitised environment creates predisposition to first world problems such as asthma and atopy
  10. Wash your hands with soap and warm water ONLY. (sing ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star twice for an idea of how long to scrub for!)

It’s not about “protecting your family” from germs, the question is scaremongering and biased (but then, what do you expect from an “ad” from a pharmaceutical company…) Practice sensible hygiene, teach your kids to cover their mouths when they cough and sneeze, wash hands after using the toilet and before meals.

All these antibacterial/disinfectant handwashes are causing loads of resistant bacteria, along with a generation of kids with inadequate immune systems (lack of exposure to plenty of bacteria and viruses has been linked to the rising rates of allergies and asthma) The overuse of these products means that really sick people are being attacked by bacteria that can’t be treated by regular antibiotics.

Soap/detergent and warm water is adequate for wiping down surfaces, washing dishes, washing hands after everything from nappy changing to gardening, and bathing your little ones.

Unless you are visiting an imunosuppressed person or performing brain surgery, just use soap and water!

  11. Luck and genetics plays the biggest part in who succumbs to acquiring a disease etc.
You can do just so much to protect, but at the end of the day the onus is on the individual to care for themselves.
  12. I believe that a healthy immune system is the most important… a healthy diet high in fresh fruit, vegetables and meat, regular exercise and don’t over obsess about germs! You need some exposure to them to keep your immune system healthy and active!

Be sensible… wash hands before eating, and after toileting, keep raw meats separate etc.

  13. I let them be kids so they can build up their immunity
  14. healthy diet, plenty of exercise and make sure your home is clean and hygenic… but not steralized.
There is no practical way to totaly protect yourself from germs and some germs are good for us… so as long as you live a healthy life and live in a healthy enviroment.. your bodies natural amune system will do the rest. Obviously healthy eating goes without saying. Washing hands ALWAYS, after they have been out of the house at school, the Mall or anywhere public. After using the toilet and before meals, and after playing outside. Make sure kitchen, and bathroom and toilets are wiped every day. I just use hot water with some drops of Lavender oil. In the toilet I have a toilet cleaner which hangs in the bowl, and I do use a disinfectant mixed with water for cleaning the toilet, light switches and door handles.
Obviously, vacuuming carpets, and mopping tiled areas(again a little dishwasher soap, a few drops of lavender and hot water) is important. And dusting. Dust mites and creepies and spiders, hate Lavender oil, so I do wipe surfaces with a mixture of that after I have dusted. Dishes are washed with an anti-bacterial dishwasher, but ALWAYS RINSED OFF in hot water. Vacuuming and mopping gets done twice a week in areas like lounge, diningroom and hight traffice areas. Bedrooms once a week.
