Sharapova: cheat or not?

The screaming banshee has obviously got enough talent

but the question is, is that high pitched rape sound she makes actually real?

or she she distracting the other player

and why is this allowed

I know I should not laugh at that but it is true.

It’s simply part of the power game, which is why other players, like Seles and Serena keep making a similar sound. In any case, if a player feels that it is too much, they can always complain to the chair umpire. Navratilova did when she played Seles at Wimbledon and Seles received a warning for it.

I doubt that they make that sound on purpose since they would have to remember to make it on every point, causing them to lose concentration on the point at hand.
