Whats the best kind of soap to use when cleaning up poop?
For laundry, its best to use a detergent with bleach(such as Tide with Bleach, et al), or something else that does a really great job at poop and vomit alike is Dreft laundry detergent. It’s a laundry detergent designed for baby clothes, so its really hypoallergenic, and works great. Also, add a little Borax to whatever detergent you use…it will boost the cleaning power. Just remember to run your washing machine (empty) through a cycle, using hot water, bleach, and a 1/4 capful of your detergent after you wash the clothing with the poop on it, so you don’t contaminate the rest of your laundry! depends on what you are cleaning and how inundated it is. If you are cleaning clothing, soak them in the toilet bowl first, in some bleach if you can, if they are white things, and shake them out, and throw in the washer, and wash immediately as usual. Or, if it is on the carpet, it is best to let it dry out, so you can brush it out of the carpet. (remove as much as you can first, with some tissue or paper towels) You can use some resolve after you have removed the refuse. (use some baking soda paste for cleaning carpet)
